People there are very friendly, and it's worth stopping! We recently stayed in Stevensville and spent a number of afternoons at the Blacksmith Brewing Company. Being from Colorado the whole tap room limit of 3 pints was a tad It's a brewing company, so Montana law restricts the hours, and there's no food served.
However, the beer is worth the stop. When you walk in, look around at all the locals and you'll know you've found the right place for a brew. I have had one of the very best Barleywine's I have ever tasted at this fine local brewery.

I find their beers to be very good in general with a few so so offerings from time to time. Our very small town is truly blessed I really like all f there beer.
Their Blond is just a bit light for me, but I like heavier beer. Comfortable, friendly, family place. They have live music some nights, which can be loud if you want to have conversation at your table.
I love Blacksmith beer, and the Blonde is definitely my favorite. I highly recommend it! Great friendly rustic atmosphere to the place and even a nice patio for nicer weather. I usually just fill a growler and take it home but great place to gather The brewery is so great inside.

Casual, clean, friendly atmosphere with an outdoor courtyard. Bring your own food - typical of MT breweries. Sometimes they have "guest" restaurants come in and make food available for purchase. This Montana-style scotch ale uses dark malts and a dash of smoked malt to create burnt toffee, chocolate and roasted flavors with a hint of smoke and raisins.
Black with reddish hues this beer starts out with a malty sweetness but finishes dry. This ruby red ale has an upfront malty sweetness with a dry, roasted finish.
